I migrated over to Coppermine so I did a bulk upload of the images in my old gallery (about 75). They all have my user name attached now as the uploader even though I'm obviously not the one that originally uploaded them to the org gallery. It there a way to change the user / owner name to something generic?
Not in the coppermine interface. Edit the ownership information directly in the database (using phpMyAdmin).

However, if you don't want to display the uploader info, why don't you just turn the display of the uploader name off in coppermine's config (config > Thumbnail view > "Display uploader name below the thumbnail (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_thumbnail_display_uploader)")?
