Title: Pictures from another driveletter
Post by: twcm73 on April 04, 2007, 05:01:37 PM
Hi,

Question: My CPG directory is on drive D: (D:\wamp\www\cpg1410\) but my pictures are on drive Z:

How can I tell Coppermine to look fro them in the correct place. It's not an option to move the pictures to drive D:

Also: maybey a stupid question but should I use "/" or "\". Becasuse the path i get to see in the "batch upload dialogscreen is: /D:\wamp\www\cpg1410\albums/. The slashes change. Is this becasue this a Windows server?

thnx,

Thomas

I'm having exactly the same problem on a windows server using Apache

In config I have entered "albums/" as "The albums directory"
When I go to "Batch add files" under "Please select a directory" it points to "/D:\Webserver\foto\albums"

In apache I made a link from "/foto/albums" to a different map.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

On Lunix, the solution would be to use a symlink. There are similar technologies available on Windows as well. Read FAQ: Batch adding files from a location out side of the CPG album folder in windows (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=35902.0)

Thanks for your fast reaction!

The problem seems not to be connected to the symlink, as I thought originally.

When I reinstalled Copperminde (just to be sure), I went to the "batch add files", and it gave immediately the same problem; it points to "/D:\Webserver\fotocie\albums".

Right now I don't have any symlinks.

Any more suggestions?

Turn the browsable batch-add interface off - it's a known issue that it doesn't work on Windows-driven servers.
