Title: Same problem with bridge/login
Post by: matsp on April 05, 2007, 11:51:37 AM
Hi. I have the exact same problem as the thread starter. ie i can login in phpbb but when i go to the gallery i am not logged in, but again back to the phpbb and i am logged in. Also i cant login via the gallery login link as i get a 404 error for the link:
http://www.withnature.co.uk/forums/ucp.php?mode=login&redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.withnature.co.uk%2Fforums%2Fgallery%2F
Ive replaced the %2F etc with the normal displays ie / and its still the same.
The actual link i click on is http://www.withnature.co.uk/forums/gallery/login.php?referer=index.php but it changes for some reason.
I'm afraid i cant login to coppermine now but i have just set the settings in bridge manager and remember the following.
Details.
Coppermine install: http://withnature.co.uk/forums/gallery/
Forum install: http://withnature.co.uk/forums/
Coppermine version: Cannot find this, i assume its the latest, it was installed via simply.com web tools (today) which automates the process for security or something.
Forum version: phpbb 2.0.22
Test user account: (setup in phpbb) user:deleteme2 pass:deleteme

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://withnature.co.uk/forums/
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../../forums
Use post-based groups?:  no

Note: i am not using the standard phpbb index page at the moment until i have more messages, but looking at the urls i cant see that this would be the problem.

Thanks in advance if  anyone can help with this problem. I'll keep looking at it myself and if i find anything i'll let you know but for now ive run out of ideas.

Split above postings from unrelated thread "current database to use for users (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=42783.0)" that deals with something completely different: the original thread starter asked for a custom bridge to be built. You just have issues with an existing bridge file. In the future, respect board rules.

Marking as solved.
