Title: Batch add - problem with extensions
Post by: BT-loader on April 06, 2007, 05:01:31 AM
Hi!
I have just installed the latest version of cpg and all seems to work ok, exept for the batch function.
I have created a new directory under /albums and uploaded a few photos (.jpg) thrue FTP.
But when i try to batch add the photos from the dir. above, i get...
QuoteOnly files with the following extensions are accepted :

jpg/jpeg/jpe/gif/png/bmp
Why is that?

It workes great to upload single photos thrue http.

I couldn´t find anything regarding batch upload, only http uploads and that works allready.
Any other ideas?

QuoteWhen people have issues with uploading and decide to post their question on the Coppermine support board, they usually are told to read this upload troubleshooting section. Many of them fail to do so properly, which results in frustration both for users as well as supporters. To make this absolutely clear: the above mentioned steps are absolutely mandatory, no matter what skill level you have, no matter what upload method you have troubles with. Failing to do exactly as suggested will result in your request for help being ignored. Yes, this applies to you. We mean it!

OK, so you read that you're suppossed to post a link and non-admin test user account that enables us to check http uploads even if you have issues with other upload methods (batch-add in your case), yet you still don't do as suggested? And this with your record of misbehaviour and disrespect of board rules?
I'm not willing to discuss this any further - I'm out of this thread, it is open for other potential takers. Either do as suggested or go unsupported! >:(

I´m still having problems with the batch add function.   :(
I have managed to upload all files to a webhost so it should be "live" to anyone right now.

http uploads work (http://stcovers.org/displayimage.php?pos=-2). Post a deep link to a file that you've been trying to batch-add that you have issues with.

Why do you make things so complicated? If you have issues with all, post at least one - should be quite obvious.

complicated?? Don´t be a smart guy.
I don´t know what you mean exactly.

I have uploaded over 100 jpg images to a folder under /albums, thrue ftp.
And when i then try to batch add/upload all the images in that folder, i got the error message regarding extensions.

That's a made-up one that you just uploaded for the purpose of posting something on this board. We requested a real-life example. I don't like playing hide-and-seek, I'm out of this thread. >:(
