Title: How to open forum in a new browser?
Post by: specfriend on April 15, 2007, 05:24:44 PM
My site is www.chiglish.net (http://www.chiglish.net), and I also have a phpbb forum installed.

I used the "custom menu link" in config to add a menu item called "forum", and provided an url.  When click on the link the coppermine would be replaced by the forum.  However, if I cannot display the forum in place of the main sections, I would like to open a new browser for forum and keep the coppermine opened.

I have searched through the database, only find 1 related post from a year ago.  and the modification of theme.php mentioned in there is not the same as what I see now.  How can I do that?

I'm using 1.4.10, with fruity template

thanks

Hi--I also looked through the boards for quite some time, for the answer on how to have a custom link open in a new window... I read that I have to modify the themes file, but I don't know how.  Can you show me the post where that is explained?  Thank you

Download it to your client (using your FTP app), then edit it using a plain text editor (notepad.exe is fine).

This attachment is what I see when I go to the link...

I can right click the .css file there and save it to my desktop, and open it just fine.  I can right click and save the .php file, but when I open it, it is blank.

The only option to save it as, is .html.
The .css file's image has text on it, but the .php file's image has a question mark on it...

You're suppossed to use your FTP app, not your browser.
