Title: admin user before and after bridging
Post by: solechona on April 19, 2007, 04:41:27 AM
Hi.
I had the user UV0743 after "installing" the bridge within my copermine gallery and my phpbb forum. The pics were uploaded with that user.
After doing the bridge, that user disappears and I use the phpbb admin user.
Now, whenI click on a picture normal size, with all the information, it says:
"Nombre del álbum: uv0743 / Mujeres "
How can I change this...if I can??????
THANKS AGAIN
:)

That's expected behaviour. From the documentation (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#integrating_users_start):
Quote5.2.3 Coppermine users, groups and pics uploaded by users are lost when integrating

Warning: If you already have users and custom groups in your coppermine database when you enable bbs integration, be aware that they will be lost. If your coppermine users have already created private albums and uploaded pics to them, they will be lost as well!
In fact, the correlation between pre-bridging users and the stuff they did (upload files, rate, comment etc.) is lost after bridging.

Has been asked before often...

I understand that, and is not a problem to me losing UV0743 user.
In fact, I read the docs of coppermine before install.
My question still is ¿Why does still appears the uploader user uv0743 if is not a user anymore?
Or....how can I change that if I can? ???

Thanks

Both the user id and the user name are stored when you upload a file. This is scheduled to be be fixed in a future version. For now you can change the entry in the pictures table in the database manually if you are familiar with phpmyadmin.

Ok. There are 700 pictures, so I think I´ll leave the old user name.....  ;D
Thanks for your help, you can close this as "solved"!!!!!!
