Title: moving pics from one gallery to another
Post by: murre on April 19, 2007, 12:35:18 PM
Hi there!

I'm using a very old version of Coppermine (cpg1.2.0final) and attempting to upgrade to the latest version asap.
At the same time I would like to create a new gallery under the same database and would like to move there some pictures (categories, albums and comments etc. including) from this old gallery. Is this possible?
My current gallery is located in http://www.nukutaan.org/psyke/galleria/cpg1.2.0final/ and the new one is gonna be (if this thing works) at http://www.nukutaan.org/jonnasproblem/galleria/ - under a different subdomain.

Also, my host is giving up on PHP4 and all the scripts needs to be upgraded to PHP5, so can I rely on that Coppermine 1.4.x is going to work?

Thanks! ;)

After you update you can copy parts of the categories, albums, comments tables from one gallery to the other with the corresponding files, but you'd need to know what you are doing - there is no walkthrough for this sort of thing.

Coppermine 1.4 works fine with PHP5.
