Title: Gallery and HTML frames
Post by: shovasap on May 06, 2007, 07:20:06 AM
Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has tried incorporating Gallery into HTML frames.

Thank you in advance!

Many have done this. No particular trick needed, coppermine runs fine within a frame or iframe. If you want to know details, post details (a link to your site might help for a start, and a description what you actually want to accomplish). Keep in mind that frames suck in terms of search engines and some other aspects, so we don't recommend using them.

Thanks, GauGau.

Here is the link to the prototype, which I will modify to avoid frames as you suggested.

I want to have the menu block in the grey area and the gallery adjacent to it - replacing the rug/logo. Both are columns of a bigger table.

Would love to hear which theme would you suggest that I start with. I am a newbie :)
Much appreciated.

I can see no need to use frames at all on your site. I have created a preliminary theme for you (that still needs some fine-tuning, but you should get the idea) and attached it to my posting.

Some feedback would have been nice. Usually, people at least post "thanks, I'll take a look at it". Not sure why I went through the trouble to come up with a theme for you and fix your editing errors if you don't even bother to reply. Guess this should teach me another lesson never again to do other's homework.
