Hello!

I just installed my online photo album, and everything works as it should. However, I think I discovered a bug with the upload process.

I can upload a picture when my server address is in this format: http://www.myserver.tld/upload.php

However...

I cannot upload a picture when my server address is in this format: http://photo.myserver.tld/upload.php

Anyone else run into this kind of problem before?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Shouting "bug" is not a bright thing, especially if your report lacks everything a valid bug report should have.

You're suppossed to do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#upload_trouble) that Stramm refered to. Read that section extra carefully. It clearly says what to do. It clearly says not to post debug_ouput!

I just installed 1.4.10 and used the Windows XP publishing feature.  Windows reported the files uploaded fine and asked me if I wanted to open the site.  I said yes and for some reason the site actually shows no files exist in the album.

I've tried setting the permissions for the three directories (/album, etc.) to both 777 and 755 as directed.  Neither one made a difference.  The files aren't too big, less than 400kb each.  I didn't change any config settings except the theme and to allow users to choose their own theme.

Here's what it tells/shows on my site after uploading the files:

@jrothra: the same thing I replied to king0770 applies to you as well: do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs. If you don't do that, there's nothing we could do to help you. Do so in a thread of your own - stay out of this thread. Attempting to hijack a thread is rude! Not following board rules and supporter's suggestions will only result in supporters being reluctant to actually help you.

I apologize for any apparent rudeness.  I read the thread and my problem seemed similar, but not exactly the same, so I figured it would fit well here.  I never sought to hijack the thread.
