Title: Thumbnail colour problem
Post by: Toby on March 08, 2004, 05:29:14 PM
There is probably a completely simple explanation to my problem, but I just can't figure this out!

I just installed Coppermine onto my server, just as an easy way for my friends and family can view my holiday photos and stuff from events and such like, I uploaded a batch upload of my recent New York holiday photos, and the thumbnails in the album are completely weird and strange colours, its only when the photo is viewed in a new window when you click on it and it pops up that it has all the correct colours.

This is probably a completely easy question to solve, I just have no idea whats wrong! :(

Any help guys? : :?:

This is something that can happen when your server has GD2, but you have GD1 set in config.  Try changing it, and uploading a new pic.

If that is ok, then that was your problem, so now you need to use the re-size utility to re-build your existing thumbs and intermediates.

I uploaded the files when GD1 was set I believe.. then changed back to GD2 when I had finalised my settings so I guess the photos had been uploaded in GD1 quality or something?

I'll try it now and report back with the status :)

Edit: problem fixed, thanks for the help casper :)
