whenever I try to upload files to an album it says 'no album selected' eventhough I did infact select an album.
Do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#upload_trouble). You question is related to uploas, moving accordingly from the misc sub-board. In the future, please start your thread in the sub-board that fits your issue most.
