Title: permissions problem
Post by: Teal on May 29, 2007, 02:31:33 PM
I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and SMF 1.1.2:

I have completed bridging and everything appears fine. However, users other than "admin" cannot see all of the albums nor can they "upload" to the one they can. I have set the albums users to "community member" which is the group from the forum that I needs access to all of the albums.

When I check under "groups" in Coppermine, there is no reference to the user group "community member"
I am quite puzzled by this and have read several threads in this forum but haven't found any info that has helped me cure this problem.

Ideas?

Forum version: SMF 1.1.2

1) Your coppermine version is not cpg1.4.2 (as you stated above), but cpg1.4.10 (which is fine, as it is the most recent version). In the future, make sure to post proper information when asking for help
2) In the future, do exactly as suggested in the sticky thread on this board named "When requesting bridge support - mandatory! (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24032.0)" (covered as well in the documentation section "5.4 Bridging support (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#integrating_support_start)"). You have ommitted important information!
3) Re-run the bridge-manager and enable "Use post-based groups?"

Thanks for the reply. I did as you suggested, but the only thing I see different, is that I (admin) no longer have the "upload" option. Any other suggestions would be apprechiated.

Stop playing stupid: I told you what you need to do if you want help (the sticky thread and the documentation, remember?). If you don't, then there's nothing I could do to help you.
