Title: Uploading to non-public password protected albums
Post by: mindjuice on June 01, 2007, 10:31:28 AM
Hi there,

first of all thanks for this nice piece of software :-)

Unfortunately I have a problem I can't solve: I created a password protected album and I want guests to have the right to upload pics into that album. The Guest group is allowed to upload into public albums and the album settings are also set so that users are allowed to upload to this album. But the album is not shown in the upload-dialog. The problem also occurs with registered users.

I guess the problem is, that the album becomes "only visible by me" when setting a password therefore not allowing anyone but me to upload new pics? Is there a way to solve this?

Post a link to your gallery, a deep link to the album you're refering to and the album password for a start. Did you make sure that guests are allowed to upload in the first place (groups panel)? Do Visitors (album properties) have the permission to upload to the said album?
