So I don't know if it's something that I broke, or just my bad luck of the draw, but my user galleries section shows four galleries. counts six. i don't know if it's something I screwed up, limiting the rows to 1, or if it's something in the theme/template I overlooked... anyone have any ideas?

What version of Coppermine are you running? If it's not 1.4.10 then you need to update.
the version shows as 1.4.11...
i don't want to admit it, because i know you guys aren't happy about it, but I'm using CoppermineVis... but i put the credit and linkback info to you guys back in. :/
I know, that's why I couldn't tell what version you were using and had to ask.
We have not released 1.4.11 so we can't really support people who decide to use it. Your login link does nothing (only reloads the page), so I can only assume the bridge system CoppermineVis uses is not functioning correctly. Your issue is related to the CoppermineVis bridge system which we have no knowledge of, so we can't really support you here.

so then 100% it is being caused by copperminevis? I could've sworn that I'd seen SOMEWHERE in the code, a way to limit the rows displayed in the user category, but I've been going through it the past few days, and I can't find anything.. Is there at least any info that could point to where I should be looking for any code that could help?
That being said... I frickin' hate copperminevis so far, and as soon as there's a much better bridge (that possibly plays well with SEF'ed urls?), I'll drop Vis like a bad habit. It's just what my boss wanted, sooo, I'm kinda' stuck.
The code to look at would be cpg_udb::list_users_query() in bridge/udb_base.inc.php or CoppermineVis's implementation of it. That won't help you much unless you are a coder though.
Awesome, Nibbler, thanks a lot. I'm not much of a coder, but enough to where I hacked together some semblance of SEF'ed url functionality in CoppermineVis to get the damn thing to work in the first place. That gives me a starting point to look into, thanks. :D
Just for the record, this fixed my problem (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=35151). :D
Thanks for returning and posting your solution. However, I want to remind you that CoppermineVis is a piracy app that goes unsupported from us. We strongly recommend to stop using that app.
I'd gladly stop using it, if there were another option for successfully bridging CPG into Joomla the way I need it to be done. It's buggy as hell, and just frustrates me. But it at least works, unlike the Gallery2 bridge, without breaking my user profiles.
Besides. I put back in the "Powered by Coppermine Gallery" tag, disabled any CPGvis links, and I didn't pay for it anyways, the dude's a bit of a rude bastard, and not just for ripping you guys off. I'm not going to pay for half-working software.
So now that I've said that, you probably think I'm twice the douche you did before lol.
But I can guarantee that if you guys wrote a GOOD bridge interfacing into Joomla and Community Builder, I'd gladly give you guys $20 or whatever it was.
