Title: Classic theme missing images?

I have just installed the latest version of coppermine as a bridge through the latest SMF. I want to use the classic theme. Are there images missing or am I doing something stupid? I have checked permissons and as far as I can see they are all ok. I have done a search but can't obviously see a similar post.

I get the top menu list as
Home :: My gallery ::
etc
any help would be apreciated

oh ok, I was expecting buttons for the following:-
Album list :: Last uploads :: Last comments :: Most viewed :: Top rated :: My Favorites :: Search

But if thats what it's supposed to look like fine.

Menu items appear as expected, see screenshot.
