Title: cpg + version management?
Post by: MilesTeg on June 09, 2007, 02:30:51 AM
Hi

I just stumbled upon your awesome photo galery software. Coppermine could be the thing I searched for a long time :)

Basically I want to let people share (mostly) pictures: All the uploaded pics should be open content (free to edit and use). If someone finds a pictures he wants to improve he can download it from coppermine, make the changes and then upload it as a new version of the pic.
So I need a very simple versioning management like

picture "cat_on_the_street.jpg" created by karl
other versions:
cat_on_the_street01.jpg (modified by user123: changed the contrast)
cat_on_the_street02.jpg (modified by user32: made the cat red)

picture "cat_on_the_street01.jpg" by user123
(original picture is "cat_on_the_street.jpg" by karl)

Is this possible? Has anyone tried something similiar to this?

thx

Anything's possible; I don't know of any mod that does this though.
