Title: How do I move my pictures to a new server?
Post by: jesse12345 on June 12, 2007, 06:39:10 PM
I just moved my server from GoDaddy to Hostican. How can I get my pictures/albums/templates from the old server on to the new server? Before switching servers, I downloaded my entire coppermine folder via ftp. I also just used Hostican's automated installation of coppermine and that is functioning on the new server. I just don't know what to do now to get my old data into coppermine. Hopefully I can simply ftp the files to the new server. Obviously, I don't even know which files would need to be ftp'd. Thanks for your guidance.

Jesse

I would suggest to ask your old host to help you with migration.  Migration is good, since everything is copied. Easy, quick and with no hassles.

Generally speaking, the new host is more likely to help you than your old one.
