Title: Error with [add photo] - Return value: 127
Post by: bezerk on March 10, 2004, 01:05:08 PM
Hello,
Greetings from Juneau Alaska! I am new to Coppermine, and being a long time gallery user - i seem to be now swaying. Although i get an error when trying to upload using ImageMagick (newest release) to [add photo] -->
The picture 'albums/userpics/10001/chill.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 127

It works fine when using GD1.x - but unless someone can tell me how to upgrade my GD1.x to GD2.x - then i would prefer to use ImageMagick as it will handle more formats than the GD1.x which i have.
I really like Coppermine alot, it has some really fresh & interesting features, and the ability to work with phpBB2 was my main interest in it.
       Thanks guys!

Hello,
I should mention that the ImageMagick appears to be working fine with my current install of Gallery - if that helps in anyway.

127 is IM's way of saying the file cannot be found or that it does not have access to the file.

Check the permissions on the /albums and /albums/userpics folders.
Title: Permissions 777

Hello,
Its running on my redhat server here - The permissions are set 777 on /albums and /userpics and the ownership is bezerk:apache on all folders.
Its odd that GD1.x works & is what i uploaded the single photo with [add photo]
I really would like to get Coppermine working and start using it instead of Gallery. which the ImageMagick also seems to work fine with - i am calling in sick today to try more things with it haha - thank you very VERY much for your help, i have been refreshing my browser every few minutes checking for a response - Again Thank you.
I know that this Coppermine is more what i have been looking for, and something that my users will enjoy "Alot" more, not to mention its much more modular design.
