Title: changing username source after smf integration
Post by: yazeft on June 14, 2007, 03:11:47 PM
hi, i've bridged my forum to coppermine and its all goooood! thanks heaps!!

just one thing.. when i go to 'user galleries' it displays the persons "REAL NAME" or 'username' as opposed to there name in smf forum.

for example when someone registers using smf they enter a username (usually their real name) however, they can edit their profile and change their 'name' to anything they want..

is it possible to show the users 'name' or display name as opposed to their real name in their user galleries and everything else?

please.. it would be great if that could be done.

I've searched the forum and borad vigurously, and to no avail.. the closed i got was this topic: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=42162.0  which didnt help much..

please inform me of the topic which this question is answered. and where i can change the username source so that it shows the display name as opposed to the smf registration name (as above).

thanks.

@yazeft: replying "thanks, issue solved" wouldn't have hurt ::). Marking thread as "solved" anyway.
