Title: error while "downloading favorites as zip file"
Post by: krawumm on June 19, 2007, 12:46:33 AM
i have a little problem:

if someone will download his favorite pictures from my coppermine gallery, the zip progress does not finish. instead of sendind the zip file, only a blank page is shown. this error only appears if the pictures are kind of of big (~2 mb), if they are smaller than 1 mb, it runs withour errors.

is there any setting where i can change the maximum file size of the zip script?

thanks, krawumm

Adjust the memory_limit in PHP if you can.

thank you so far...

but i can't change the php.ini file (no access) and the php function ini_set("memory_limit", "32M"); does not work.
is there any other method to create a zip (or gzip / bzip) file?

is it possible to resize the pictures before zipping them ("on-the-fly")?

It's possible but useless cause you'll face similar problem (memory limit) when resizing those images on the fly
