Title: Userpic folder numbering
Post by: locations on June 20, 2007, 05:26:30 AM
Just a clarification please....
Are the userpic folders numbered by user?
ie:
Folder 10001 = user 1?
Folder 10002 = user 2?

I am setting up a gallery for a friend who also wants to put some of the pics in his blog.
The blog only allows you to find the pics if you know the folder they are located in, in the directory.
If I set set him up as user 1, will everything he uploads (via html) go into folder 10001?
I don't want any surprises down the road (like folder 10001 reaches some kind of limit and cpg creates a new folder).

Thanks!

If your server isn't running in save mode, then coppermine creates a folder for each user in the userpics dir. The scheme is as you say. user_id + 10000 -> the admin (usually user_id 1 has the userpics subfolder 10001)

Thank You Stramm!
My friend is an artist and I will be using both your watermark and modpack. So far everything is working perfectly.
He is computer illiterate, so I tell him the gallery will be as easy as attaching to an email.
