Title: Difficulties upgrading from 1.4.2 to 1.4.10
Post by: avrillavignehq on June 27, 2007, 04:43:08 PM
My host contacted me saying that I had a really old version of Coppermine (1.4.2) for my gallery (http://avril-photos.com) and had asked me to upgrade it.

First I tried it through Fantastico, but then realised that it wouldn't work since I have a custom theme. I've looked through the documentation, and the only instructions for upgrading with a custom theme are for an older version, and any changes that it asks to be made are already applied on my files.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

You don't need to do anything with custom themes when updating from 1.4.2 to 1.4.10

Upgrade as suggested in our docs (refer to the section "Upgrading from cpg1.4.0 (or better) to version cpg1.4.10 (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#14)"). If you haven't done as suggested and given your custom theme a unique, new name, but used the theme name you used as a template, make sure not to overwrite your custom theme when upgrading.
