Title: How to Uninstall Plugin After DB Critical Error
Post by: scrambled egg on July 22, 2007, 10:00:07 AM
I just installed MiniCMS and now get a Critical error from ANY page that says

"There was an error while processing a database query"

I know that MiniCMS is not supported here, so I am asking if it is possible to just remove the plugin (and if so, how?) when I cannot even get to the Config section.  In short, if I want to put things back the way they were before installing this plugin.

Remove it from xxx_plugins table by using mysql tools such as phpmyadmin

I do not see any phpmyadmin in my control panel, although I see the folder miniCMS when using File Manager. I am presuming that it is not just a matter of deleting the miniCMS folder or deleting the contents of that folder, correct?  Is there any other tool that I might find in the Cpanel of my webhost account?

Cpanel=>MySQL® Databases=>phpMyAdmin (you'll see it at the bottom of page)

even if you can't find it there you can install it ...

Sami,

I'm sorry but I am real newbie with php.  It's there, so I clicked on cpg_plugins and now there is this screen that I do not understand.  It says Table: cpg_plugins, then below that browse, structure, sql, search, insert, export, import, operations, empty, drop. And below that there is FIELD TYPE COLLATION  etc. etc. etc.

In other words, how do I recognize this plugin that I want to delete?  Sorry, but can you please be as specific as possible cause I do not want to make a mistake of deleting something else and making things worse.

when I click on BROWSE, I see the plugin listed (along with the other plugins I have installed).  So I am presuming that I simply check the box in front of this plugin and then click on X (delete), correct?  Or is there something else I would have to do before that or after that, or is that all I have to do?
