You're welcome to edit the templates as you see fit, they reside in your custom theme.

Not a valid feature request imo, see NO SUPPORT in FEATURE REQUESTS (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=15866.0). The dev team is reluctant to code anything related to even more emails being sent around anyway.
