Title: how to disable large pic display
Post by: danlin on March 15, 2004, 06:48:59 PM
Hi,

My photo album is able to display thumbnail, normal pic and my original pic.   However,  my original pic format pic is really big and takes very long to download.   How do I disable it from displaying?  I just want the thumbnail and normal pic that was converted by GD.

Thanks,
Dan

When your loged into admin mode, click on config in Pictures and thumbnails settings select yes in the Create intermediate pictures drop down box. Hope this helps

I suggest you resize the images on your computer before uploading them.  This will save server space and load.
For those already on your server, do the following;

Go into re-size picture utility, and use the 'delete original sized pictures' facility.  This will remove them from your server completely, freeing up space.

Ah, the pleasures of self-hosting :wink: ...
Make sure the file system permissions are set correctly on your server. Although there's no CHMOD on Windows servers, there are permissions as well. Please search first, as this is a question of server-configuration, not especially related to coppermine.
