Title: May Coppermine overwrite uservalues in vB database?
Post by: sr972 on August 13, 2007, 06:23:52 PM
Hi,

actually i am using vB 3.6.x and 1.4.12 and i have a problem i cant really locate actually. So here my question:

Could it be, that Coppermin would access the vB database in a way, that it writes back any data on userrecords? i have the problem, that actually on all(?) records the salt value gets changed from time to time (always to value G)

And there just 2 scripts / products left who even will access the vb database. i am actually looking for the second script but also want to ask if could be.
I user vBulletin 3.0 brigde integration!

Would be pleasant if there could be a fast answer! Thanks a lot already!

No, Coppermine doesn't write to the database tables of the app it is being bridged with. Bridging is clearly a one-way-street, where the app you bridge with takes over part of the control over coppermine, never vice versa.
