I have taken out 'catlist' has this replaces that, but I have lost:

Is there anyway of showing this with having the 'catlist' showing

Assuming you mean 'without', no. You'll need to copy the code out and put it somewhere else.
ok, I've tried the theme.php but the ways I've tried I get an error or it doesn't show, I'll keep trying
