After uploading the file you get this error !
QuotePHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick is installed
File: /home/legal/akitas/coppermine/include/picmgmt.inc.php - Line: 170
any help plz :?:
GD 2.x is installed and is enabled in the coppermine setup !!!
what to do
Check to see if GD jpeg support is enabled. If it not, it won't work.
doesnt work
( do i have to change the GD2 settings or the coppermine settings )
if i have to change the GD settings any id what to change
so i can ask my pall ( who runs the server ) to do it !
Please give details of your server, php, setup. Are you self hosted?
Hi.
I have the same problem. When I try to upload an image - it says "Critical error: PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick is installed".
I have many sites which use GD - so it's ok. But CPG says I don't have it.
Any ideas?
Here is my server info [copy/paste from phpinfo()]:
PHP Version 4.3.4
System Linux ivu 2.4.18-3smp #1 SMP Thu Apr 18 07:27:31 EDT 2002 i686
Build Date Mar 11 2004 13:53:38
Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) PHP/4.3.4 mod_ssl/2.8.11 OpenSSL/0.9.6b
GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.15 compatible)
everything seems to be ok :?
what does you phpinfo say about the gd module (copy'n paste this bit as well). Did you set up coppermine correctly to use the gd version you actually have (in coppermine config)?
GauGau
phpinfo() - gd
GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.15 compatible)
GIF Read Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XBM Support enabled
CPG Config file
Method for resizing images: GD Version 2.x
As you can see there is no line "JPEG Support Enabled" in phpinfo() results but it works with the other sites on this server. However. I tried PNG and I got the same error. I asked our sysadmin to reinstall php and GD, but the error still exists.
The way coppermine is set up, it will not work if jpeg support isn't enabled, even for other formats such as png.
As jpg is the most common format for web use, it is strange that your server has not enabled jpg support. I suggest you contact them to enable it.
this might help

take a look at the faq (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php), especially the stuff on GD - you seem not to have GD at all...
GauGau
Ok. Everything works great - cpg ad phpBB.
I asked our sysadm to reinstall php - less than 10 minutes.
It's very easy: you just need to read README.html in CPG's docs before setup the CPG and after that read and do step by step this topic:
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=1841
I just did it again to be sure it's ok and the site works. So, it requires less than 5 minutes to install and setup both CPG and phpBB and you'll get on-line photogallery and discussion board :)
Thank you for the support. :D
Now smone should help to legal.
CPG is great. 8)
GD is installed !
it works on other sites !
Congratiulations i am now the stupidest man on internet !
i started reading all the faq and found the solution !
there was something i forgot
DELETE THE INSTALL.php
hope your not mad
but thx for the fast tips and ideas !!!
again im sorry to have wasted your time on this :?
