Title: Permissions altered when bridging
Post by: alexr on September 12, 2007, 06:56:33 AM
Hello,

I've bridged Coppermine with Simple Machines.  My plan though is to have users login in to only view the galleries not make their own, etc.

I've gone into admin to disable the allow personal gallery feature of the "registered"user , but find when I bridge the setting gets reset to allow.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks,
Alex

Running 1.4.12

Just redo the perms after you bridge.

Thanks that seems to have worked - I also discovered that in order to get into the admin area of Coppermine, I actually have to login using the admin login id of my simple machine username.  Is this supposed to be the case?

Yes - that's the whole point of bridging. Both your questions are being covered in the documentation we provide (see link at top of this screen) that is being bundled with your coppermine package as well. Please read the docs thoroughly before asking questions.
