Title: Fatal Error
Post by: omitade on September 17, 2007, 04:06:03 PM
I did the upgrade and then attempted the bridging with phpBB. I got this message
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cpggetmicrotime() (previously declared in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/orisadevotees.org/httpdocs/gallery/include/init.inc.php:35) in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/orisadevotees.org/httpdocs/gallery/include/init.inc.php on line 33

I then uploaded the files again, ran the upgrade.php and got the same message.

Coppermine install: http://www.orisadevotees.org/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.orisadevotees.org/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.22
Test user account: testMember / test123

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

It probably means you set the relative path wrongly when you did the bridge. Since you didn't provide this information in your post I can't know for sure. Disable the bridge and try again, making sure the information you enter is correct.

This thread obviously is a follow-up to the thread http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=46938.0
In that thread I already told you that you need to do exactly as suggested sticky thread. The sticky thread clearly says what information you need to post. It is requested for valid reasons, as Nibbler suggested. Please don't make it so hard for us to help you.

I cannot answer the questions at the bottom of the sticky because I cannot access the gallery to get the information or I do not know what it is you are asking of me. I am doing the best that I can to provide what you asked for. Is it possible that I am not such a moron, have read the sticky and the many posts but just CAN'T answer? I do not know how to disable the bridge.

Most of the people who post here have TRIED to do all the reading, searching, etc. Not everyone is lazy or an idiot. I read and simply don't get it because I do not know enough about what you are talking about. If my host provider had not recommended coppermine, I would have not added it because I do not like to be out of my depth. While I appreciate that you are doing this for free, please understand that not all of us have been working with any of this for any length of time. Maybe that is the lame "newbie" excuse but maybe it isn't.

In fact, let me be more specific: I do not know what any of the information below means. That is why I didn't answer. Have I read the documentation, YES. Do I understand it all without ever actually doing it, NO.

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://mysite.tld/test/foo_bar
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../bla/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable)

It's in the manual - http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#bridge_manager_recover_start

The relative path you need is ../forum/ and the cookie name/prefix is phpbb2mysql

Did what you said and followed the instructions which opened up the theme/skin but "you are prompted to enter your admin account details - use the admin account you used to install coppermine with in the first place (the standalone admin account). This will not log you in, but switch integration off, so you can fix improper bridging settings then." this did not happen and when I pushed the config button, I got the same error message as outlined above.

So, if the bbs integration wizard was supposed to appear Enable/disable integration/bridging with XXX, it did not. If something else is supposed to happen, I don't know what it is.

Going to http://www.orisadevotees.org/gallery/bridgemgr.php shows that bridging is still enabled. Turn it off. Not sure what you did. If you can't remember the account details of the standalone admin, do as suggested in http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=46684.msg222662#msg222662

Ranting about karma will result in two things: more negative karma and supporters being reluctant to help you. Is this really what you're up to? You got the negative karma for not respecting board rules.

I would hardly call it a rant but then you know better than I. If this is support, I would rather have my eyes burned out with red hot pokers and call it support.

So you don't need to worry, I won't be coming back here to ask a question again. You have supported me enough.

Thanks, it has been an uplifting experience.
