Title: Is it possible to bridge multiple packages (Forum, CPG, Store, Members Area)?
Post by: Maddog452 on September 19, 2007, 09:41:00 AM
I am doing some work for a not-for-profit association that has a number of packages on their web page including the password protected news and articles web site package (Custom written in Dreamweaver), a forum (vB or SMF), a gallery (CPG 1.4.12), an online store (CubeCart 3.0.17).

Is it possible to develop a stand alone password/member list database with groups and other personal data and then bridge each package to the database to allow only one login to all packages? I have someone writing the code for me but they are not that experienced with password protection stuff.

Cheers
Dog

Make the forum 'master' and connect everything to that.

Thanks for that. Any suggestion which Forum would be the most robust? vBulletin or SMF

SMF. I can't recommend you to use non-free software :)
