My hosting account was suspended due to "resource abuse" (using more than 25% cpu for more than 90 seconds)
Anyways, I just redesigned the site and I'm afraid some of the stuff may not be running properly... I'm probably going to want to hire someone from here to look over the code and write down where they see horrible coding that's causing extra resources to be used... Than either fix the mistakes myself or re-hire same person to fix the coding. If anyone might be interested, give me a shout.
I'm ordering a dedicated server for this site tonight, so I don't have to put it on my shared hosting or VPS.
They sent me this "log" as explanation for the suspension:

can someone explain what that means a little better? not sure what the numbers in the far left column are
mysite.com being ****ucket.com
**** = "emob"
Talked to my host, and they said if I replaced homepage with a plain text file they would reactivate, but I'm guessing by tonight I'll be suspended again, and the planet needs 24-72 hours before my dedicated can be ready
Are you by chance using on-the-fly watermarking? If yes, then that's the culprit.
funny, actually it's not... but i'm having the exact same problem with my host and they sent me the same kind of log as you; and neither do i understand exactly what thoes numbers mean....
i was using another gallery script for my album, so i'm looking at coppermine to see if it would be better but thankfully i found your post and it tells me that no, my host is not good enough for coppermine either....
i find that what "kills" the recources is the generation of thumbnails, especially when i have them all around in my forum....
Please post details - preferably a link to your gallery (if it is still up). Another resource hog that comes to mind is the recording of stat details: turn it off in coppermine's config.
this makes me believe it has something to do with cpmfetch as I also serve images from the gallery in my forum.. once I can get coppermine to work again I'll have to check that out

Guys... This might help some of you in the future...
I don't believe there was an actual resource usage issue. I think my previous host, hostgator, was overselling their servers and decided to cancel my account to due to bandwidth and hard disk usage..
The lesson here is that as most people already know, HostGator oversells.. Unless your running wordpress powered MFA (made for adsense) sites, than you might want to consider moving when your gallery starts growing.
