Title: Re: phpBB Login Redirection
Post by: LSmith4285 on September 26, 2007, 11:33:08 PM
I am having the same problem, everything is located at

http://www.AberdeenKayakClub.org.uk

/coppermine for coppermine

and

/forum for my phpBB2 forum.

I've obviously not matched something up correctly but I am not sure whats not matched.

Your bridge settings
Forum URL:    http://www.aberdeenkayakclub.org.uk/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:    ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:    1
Cookie prefix:    phpBB2_forum

The cookie prefix is definitely the same as phpBB has, the forum URL must be the bit thats wrong but I have tried matching it to different things within phpBB with no joy :( I tried changing the Cookie domain in phpBB to the Forum URL setting in the bridge settings (eg. http://www.aberdeenkayakclub.org.uk/forum) but that killed the forum.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Coppermine install: http://www.aberdeenkayakclub.org.uk/coppermine
Forum install: http://www.aberdeenkayakclub.org.uk/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.13 (stable)
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.22

Just read the rules and realised I need to post this info :)

You are supposed to start a new thread.

First of all, you need to leave the bridge enabled and post a test user account. Secondly, you have messed up your gallery cookie settings. Set the cookie path back to / and the cookie name to cpg. Your forum's cookie path must be set to / also. Clear your cookies after you make the change.

Sorry you caught me in the middle of playing with the settings.

I didn't setup a login as it won't work but in case it will help i now have, username test password test, I have restored the config to factory settings and activated bridging, not sure why but its now working worse than before.

Forum cookie path is still wrong, should be /
Forum cookie domain is wrong, should be .aberdeenkayakclub.org.uk

Forum url or relative path is wrong too, which is why the redirection is incorrect.

Forum cookie domain is wrong, should be .aberdeenkayakclub.org.uk
This seems to have broken the forum login?

Clear your cookies after changing anything in your BBS or Coppermine that corresponds to cookie settings.
