I just installed again cpg 1.4 (I wanted a clean reinstall after I messed something up). and now the counters seem not to move. I cannot vote on the pictures uploaded and most of the time the views counter doesn't seem to record a visit. As I spent the last 2 hours looking on a similar issue on these boards, the problem changed from not being able to record any view to recording one here and there.

I just used the webhosts automatic installation for 1.410 (this worked well before several months ago), then I eliminated some languages and uploaded romanian language from version 1.413 As I thought it was a fluke I repeated the process twice - same problem.
Would you please tell me what I did wrong? Thank you.
Admin views are not counted, neither are multiple views in succession. You are lagging 3 versions behind as a consequence of using an auto installer - update your gallery.
