Title: Template problem and cant see edit buttons
Post by: jwjpkkj on October 09, 2007, 04:05:02 PM
Coppermine install: http://www.craftandscrap.net/MainGallery/index.php version 1.4.13
Joomla install: http://www.craftandscrap.net  version 1.0.13
Community Builder version 1.1.0
Bridge: Mehdi's coppermine bridge
Test user account: name: test / password: test

If you login at the main page of my site, and then go to the gallery, everything appears to work fine, until it comes to logging out.  When you click log out, the template is lost, and the user also doesnt get logged out.  This happens whether its just a registered user or admin.  This also happens if I log in to the gallery directly at the gallery's home page (that is, not via the main part of my site first).

Another problem is that I cant see any edit buttons - "delete" "properties" and "edit pics" - when I am in admin mode, to modify albums/files. I am just using a slightly altered css version of Classic template, but even when I tried other templates I couldnt see the buttons.

Im not actually sure if this is a bridge problem or not.

Thanks for your help.

I disabled the bridge to see what would happen, and the template problem was fixed, as was the logging in and out, so this is definately a bridge problem I would like to fix.

Unfortunately, the edit buttons  - "delete" "properties" and "edit pics" - when I am in admin mode - still dont appear. :(

I have applied the bridge again (the 2 errors I have reported of course then as the same) so that someone can log in if need be as a test user.

Thanks,
W.

The Mehdi bridge has not been created by the coppermine developers and doesn't work in the same way the bridges work that we provide. As none of the coppermine devs is familiar with Joomla, we can't offer much help.

Okay thanks.

So, I decided to totally delete everything and start from scratch with a fresh install of v 1.4.13, and NO Bridge to Joomla.

I have created 5 categories (no other mods or anything has been done yet).

Now though when I am in admin mode, I could only create my personal gallery, and couldnt see any of the categories I created to upload to, so I uploaded 2 test pics to my personal gallery / album.

And now I can only see edit buttons next to those 2 pics, so when I click edit, and go to change the album, I still can only see mine, and no other albums or categories.

???

New registered username: test
Password: pass

Even in admin mode, when I go to "Admin Tools" > "Select Album", I cant even "see" any other albums other than my own personal album in the drop down menu.   :(

1) Never leave admin mode
2) Post a screenshot when being logged in

Here is a screen shot when I am logged in as Admin:

I'd like to see the entire screen from the very top, not something in the middle. I want to see that the admin menu looks as expected and that the logout link does what it is supposed to do. So please attach a screenshot that shows all of this.
