Title: Coppermine/SMF - Not recognised as Admin after bridge
Post by: Cathus on November 03, 2007, 12:18:20 PM
When I use the bridge function, the SMF login screen is picked up OK in Coppermine, as is the SMF Memberslist, but Coppermine doesn't recognise me as a Coppermine Administratior, after enabling the bridge none of the admin functions are available - just says "You don't have permission to access this page. I have to disable the bridge before being allowed access to the admin functions, all the SMF Groups have been picked up by Coppermine though. (I am an admin in SMF)

with regards to the above, I just tested making the Coppermine Admin a different user name. I then bridge and it doesn't recognise the new coppermine admin logon - as you would expect snce it's picking up details from my SMF user base, so I enter my SMF admin account, which it recognises OK, but it doesn't realise that this is an admin account, I therefore can't administer the gallery unless it is in stand-alone mode.

I think I may have found the problem.

On my SMF board although I am the main administrator I am also a member of various other groups, my primary member group in SMF was not as 'Administrator' but was set to another group (so I can have an individual forum badge), if I set my primary SMF member group to 'Administrator' then Coppermine picks up I am an SMF admin OK.

problem appears solved!
