Title: Login problem after bridging
Post by: captain tenneal on November 28, 2007, 05:01:52 AM
I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and phpbb2:

After installing coppermine, I can log in fine.  After I bridge it to my forum, I can log into the forum, but when I go to the gallery it's as if I'm not logged in.

Coppermine install: http://ashlaknights.net/gallery/
Forum install: http://ashlaknights.net/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.22
Test user account: Coppermine Help / 12345

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://ashlaknights.net/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable):  phpBB2_forum

Also, the cookie path for my forum is /forum instead of /

It has to be this way, otherwise my forum will break.

Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
That's wrong - you have cpg1.4.13. In the future, make sure to post the proper data.

Also, the cookie path for my forum is /forum instead of /
Then coppermine will not be able to read the forum's cookie. Subsequently, bridging won't work that way.

Why? Who said that?

When the cookie path for my forum is set to

/

logging in doesn't work.  I had to use the Auto cookie tool and it suggested /forum for the cookie path, and that works.

Then fix that first. I can see no reason why / should not work.

The problem has been solved.  When you change the cookie path, you also have to change the name of the cookie itself, and make sure that name change is carried over to the gallery bridge.  When I cleared my browser cookies and cache and restarted it, it worked fine.

Thanks for the help.

Changing the cookie name is not necessary.
