Title: What is a pnCPG?
Post by: freeedy on November 30, 2007, 09:40:03 PM
Hi guys, I am a complete newbie in making webpages, but since I started I had used coppermine gallery, I am currently using the stramm modpack, and that's as far as I have went. However, I am expecting to make some changes over my pages and I am looking for new stuff. So I was wondering is someone can explain my what this mod is for, their benefits and if can someone can show me how their site looks with this mod I will appreciate it. Thanks.  ;D

It's not a MOD ! It's PostNuke, who's come here with no support, i know.

If you want try pnCPG.

To be a bit more precise, it is a Postnuke (CMS) module which allows user integration between Postnuke and Coppermine. Most importantly it enables single signon between these 2 application.

Bottom line: if you don't use PostNuke, you don't need pnCPG.

So it doesnt have anything different from the regular coppermine gallery (when talking about features)?

No. I already told you: if you don't use PostNuke, then pnCPG is not made for you, even if it came with different features - if you don't have the platform, you can't use it. If you don't own a house, don't buy a pool.
