Title: Downloading uploaded pictures
Post by: ngreenwood6 on December 05, 2007, 03:08:10 AM
Hello, I am creating a website for all of my family photos.  I would like them to be able to go on the webpage and download any pics that they would like to.  Some of these people are computer illiterate so I want to make it easy for them.  The only way I have seen to download them now is by right clicking and going to save as.  I would like cpg to automatically create a download link if possible for each picture underneath the main picture.  Also, if possible to create a download link for the whole albums if possible(maybe as a zip).  If anyone can help me please let me know or any links would be helpful.  Thanks for any help in advance.

When a user hovers over a picture with the mouse pointer in IE, it should show an image toolbar, which has a Save button.

To download the whole album, a dumb (but easy) way would be to also upload a zip of the whole album as well. Then in the Album Description, enter something like:

Download all photos

The only problem is the Album Description is only shown under it's Category, but not in the thumbnail view of the album.
