Title: Adding PHPBB to existing Coppermine install
Post by: macnyc on March 28, 2004, 01:43:40 AM
I understand how to set my site so that when a user logs in they are redirected to the PHPBB login - but what happens if I have a site with existing Coppermine users and I add a PHPBB - can they use their existing logins or will they have to start over and redirect them to have a PHPBB login witch also allows them to access Coopermine?

If you add phpbb integration to an existing coppermine install everyone will have to register again, or you can make a script to mass register everyone in phpbb.

I thought this would be the case - does a script exist?

I found a Mod for this on the PHPBB.com site - worked well - easy to implement.

What if I have already registered users on phpbb and coppermine gallery? Which users will be deleted? Both?

Does it go with the import tool mentioned a post up?

Has anyone did this already? I really wouldn't like to lose users on phpbb.

I think you need to ask this on the phpbb forum, as they are more likely to have users who have used this tool, not just with coppermine, but other applications as well.
