Title: broken thumbnails
Post by: rippingb on January 04, 2008, 09:29:09 PM
Yesterday my gallery received an internal error 500 which was a permission issue with the webserver host. They reset permissions so now I can access the gallery but all my thumbnails were broken.  I went in and reset permissions to 777 on the albums and then went to Admin tools and had it recreate the thumbnails.  All of this worked except for 1 album.  That album still shows up with a red X for a thumbnail.  It has the same permissions as other albums within the same user.  Other albums of that user work fine.
When I right click on a thumbnails for properties and paste into a browser I get "Directory has no index file"
If I try to rebuild thumbnails on just that album I get the internal 500 error stating " The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.  "
I don't get it, same permissions as the other folders. My gallery may be viewed at http://www.rippingbeers.com/Copper/cpg1414/
Please advise.

Why do you have an extra subfolder level? Check permissions on the files themselves as well as the folders.

Do you mean giving all the .jpg files in that folder 777 permission? I don't have that on the other folders but if it may help I will.

No special reason for installation on the additonal subfolder.

I ended up deleting/reloading the pics.

Why did you give up so fast? This could have been solved easily without that brute-force method. Anyway, marking as "solved".
