Title: [Solved]: Does CPG store picture info?
Post by: je79ayps on March 29, 2004, 12:38:55 PM
I have, by mistake, uploaded a picture in a wrong size.

Can I just FTP the right sized picture to the albums folder or does CPG store the picture info in some way that it wouldn't work?

Coppermine stores the image size in the database, and when the image is called, puts it in a box that fits.  If the image has been changed, coppermine will stretch/shrink the pic to fit, so it will look bad.

If you already have comments/views etc that you don't want to lose, you will need to do what you suggested, but go into the database and edit the size there.  if not, just use the delete function and re-upload.

You can use the re-size utility to delete original pics as well, but this will do that to all pics in the album selected.

You dont have to worry about the thumbs or normal size pics, they will have been created at the settings in your config, regardless of the original size.
