Title: Paid photo hosting for members?
Post by: gezuvor on January 21, 2008, 05:05:28 PM
First of all, great software!

I've got a board that I setup to host photos for members of a few web forums. I want to control how much content they can store on my servers, either by number of photos or total MB of space used, and charge them a recurring fee to do so.

I searched through the mod forums and most of the transaction-related mods were for selling photos and not providing space. I apologize if this has been asked before, but I searched with quite a few different keywords and didn't find anything.

Thanks in advance!

Use the quota setting on the groups control panel to determine the amount of diskspace allowed for your users. Please read the docs first, before posting questions.
Why should people pay for your services btw? Webhosting is cheap. There is a load of free image hosters like imageshack, so why should people bother to pay? Anyway, it's of course your business.

he could pull it off with 2 conditions 1 no link back which he does not really want
2 a multiple upload system
but that's more of hosting then image hosting

The quota levels are working well and we have several levels, but I'll try another approach to do this... thanks.
