Title: Bad image?
Post by: VladiczeK on January 27, 2008, 04:03:47 AM
Hi,

I can't say why, but I think that coppermine doesn't like my new digital camera :-) I bought new camera and after that I tried to upload some test images, but unsuccesfully. If I try to upload an image, all is running well, upload seems to be completed, but when it tries to display the freshly uploaded image, only blank screen is shown. Image is on the web (checked via FTP, intermediate image and thumbnail too). In this way everything is all right as well, but when I am trying to view the image (intermediate) / only blank screen again. All other images taken with another cameras are processed well. Is it possible that pictures taken by a specific camera may cause problems??

For sure I have made improvements on my site as in guide if you want to check it and would really appreciate that!

Some EXIF data can cause that. Disable display of EXIF data in config.

Yes, really thx, it works. Some aditional qustion if I may: is that caused by some specific EXIF attribute or by EXIF at all... ? I would like to display some information from EXIF. So I will try it switching on by one and I will see.

Really thx and sorry for disturb, it's logical and I should have solved this!

Yes the problem resides inside the Olympus MakerNote parser.

I'm working on a complete new Exif parser ( http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,50688.0.html )

But for now your best bet is to edit the olympus.php
