Hi there,
The servers where I host my three seperate galleries was upgraded to GD version 2.x from version 1.x. I want to recreate all the thumbnail and normal_ pics, but have no idea how to do it.
For my newest gallery (running the latest coppermine software) I deleted all the pics and re-uploaded them (because I hadn't bothered adding comments etc), allowing GD to recreate the better quality pics.
My other galleries run on version 1.1 (and I can't seem to figure out how to upgrade - search this forum for my earlier troubles!). The other two galleries have quite a few comments and I have spent a lot of time adding comments etc, so I don't want to re-add them etc.
Does anyone know how I should go about re-making the thumb_ and normal_ pics for these galleries?

Thanks,

The reason you are unsure, is because you are using the hardwired theme, which is missing the link to the re-size facility.
You should use this to recreate your thumbs and normal size pics. You can either change theme, or just type in 'util.php' instead of index.php.
I'm not sure if this was available on version 1.1, but you are advised to update. The faq on this site is out of date, but the readme inside the docs folder of the download has full and easy instructions how to upgrade.
Hi casper,
Thanks for that.
Would you be able to tell me what version I am running here:
http://www.thekhans.me.uk/origami/thegallery/index.php
I need to know because the upgrade methods are slightly different. I remember getting really frustrated because I didn't know how to it last time!
Thank you,
Sajid
When calling the upgrade script, getting the following error:
QuoteWhile executing query "INSERT INTO cporigami_albums (aid, title, description, uploads, pos)SELECT aid, title, description, uploads, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(date) FROM cpg_ori_albums" on 0
mySQL error: Unknown column 'date' in 'field list'
Any ideas?
I can't tell exactly which version you are using, but you coppermine link is to http://www.chezgreg.net/coppermine/, which hasn't been used for a while.
Log in, and go into the config page. You should see, right near the top, the words 'Configuration - Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.??. If you don't, it's probably version 1.0.
Incidentally, making the link invisible may not be strictly against the license, but is certainly against the spirit, and will not win you any friends here.
Hi Casper,
Thanks for the info, but we've already talked about the link! I have no idea why the link isn't showing up - my new install at
http://www.thekhans.me.uk/stuff/space/index.php?cat=2
does show the link. I've not tinkered with the code, infact you can see the source and you'll see the thing is there. I respect the GPL, and you'll notice that all other scripts on my site show the creators copyright link.
Infact I even dedicate a thank you page - something that not a lot of people do:
http://www.thekhans.me.uk/stuff/acknowledgements.php
The link thing is a mystery. I attempted a second install which gave the error in my last post. Not sure what is causing it.

Ok, good luck with your upgrade.
