Title: Question regarding forcing users to always view stuff through cpg
Post by: dke on February 24, 2008, 04:52:53 PM
Hi,

I have a question regarding if its possible to make users always view stuff through cpg. As for example if someone paste a deep link to my gallerys fullsize picture http://mygallery.com/albums/pictures/landscapes/landscape1.jpg (http://mygallery.com/albums/pictures/landscapes/landscape1.jpg) they will be able to view this picture without having to interact with CPG.

Would it be possible with "mod_rewrite" to force users who try accessing the direct full-size to be thrown back to the intermediate page for that image, and have to access it through clicking the intermediate image in cpg?

I know this is probably outside the coppermine support, but i didn't know where i could ask if this was even possible to achieve.

Thanks for the support.

You would need to modify your fullsize pictures to be stored as pid.jpg... so if the pid was 100, it would look like yourgallery.com/albums/pictures/landscapes/100.jpg and than using a rewrite you could force it back to displayimage
