Title: Wide pages
Post by: Mashed2005 on March 12, 2008, 12:30:37 AM
It's been a long time since I did any sort of web design so I'm having trouble working out what the problem is here.  Basically, some pages in my gallery are really wide (horizontal scrollbar) and it seems to be whenever there is a line of text wider than the page margins.  For an example, go here: http://www.babyskye.byethost13.com/gallery/register.php

Any idea what may be causing this?

Thank you

This is related to your custom theme. You (or rather: the theme's author) have over-modified your stylesheet (http://www.babyskye.byethost13.com/gallery/themes/fiapplepink/style.css) (removing some needed classes). Undo those changes (re-adding the missing classes).

Aha.. I see.

In response to reply #1. I've just tried that page in IE and it seems fine.  In Firefox (my default) it doesn't display correctly.  I'll try to fiddle with a few things but chances are I'll just have to change the theme as like I say it's been a while since I did anything like this and I don't have the time that I used to. The site is just a favour for my friend as he's recently become a dad and would like a photo album for friends and family to see :)

If you're not ready to dive into fiddling with CSS classes, simply visit the demo (http://coppermine-gallery.net/Obsolete), browse it for the available themes, pick one, download it from the downloads section (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658) and use the new theme instead of the one that causes issues for you.
