Title: Create intermediate pictures? Yes!
Post by: Emos on April 04, 2004, 12:15:17 PM
I installed the photo album, and chose not to create intermediate pictures, in the configuration.
Now, I want to change it, but if I touch that setting, when I click on a thumbnail, I can't see the photo.
What's the problem?
Thanks in advance
Emanuele

Take a look at the footnote on the config page that says you mustn't change some settings after having albums in your gallery. You can fix things though by the "resize pictures" tool from the admin menu. Choose the option to update "Both thumbnails and resized pictures" to create the intermediates.

That wasn't one of the settings with the asterisk...
But I followed your advice and solved my problem, Thanks a lot!!

So here is an idea for future development...
Since adding about 200 images on my server (I admit, it is not a high end computer) takes more than an hour (probably because of running ImageMagicks "convert" utility 400 times) I would appreciate when following were possible: turn of creation of intermediate pictures and when is intermediate picture needed (going to be displayed), it will be created and saved in apropriate album directory. Looks easy, but probably is not, I know :-)
