Title: Delete / Change Keywords
Post by: willyneuhaus on April 30, 2008, 11:08:53 PM
I am unable to delete or change keywords in my galerie. After marking a keyword for deletion and confirming the question, it does not go away. The same is true for editing a keyword, they are not edited.

I am running the latest version of Coppermine.

Any ideas?
Willy

No, you're not. You're running cpg1.4.16, while the most recent stable release is cpg1.4.18. Upgrade! May or may not fix your issues.

you are right, I updgraded this morning. Now a have a different problem:

I used to contact the gallery with www.willneuhaus.ch/galerie which brings now this message:

/************************* Coppermine Photo Gallery ************************ Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Dev Team v1.1 originally written by Gregory DEMAR This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 3 as published by the Free Software Foundation. ******************************************** Coppermine version: 1.4.18 $HeadURL: https://coppermine.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/coppermine/trunk/cpg1.4.x/include/index.html $ $Revision: 4380 $ $Author: gaugau $ $Date: 2008-04-12 12:00:19 +0200 (Sa, 12 Apr 2008) $ **********************************************/

If I connect with www.willyneuhaus.ch/galerie/login.php everythins works as before. Do I miss something?

You uploaded include/index.html into the root folder. Don't do that.

Thanks for the quick hint, it works now since I deleted the file.

Now I can edit the Keywords but still not delete any.

So I am halfway there!

I can observe similar behaviour. The keyword itself shouldn't be the problem, no special characters or whatsoever.

I noticed that I was only unable to erase keywords in upper case while I indeed could erase those with lower case. This bug may be connected with the one suggested in the thread below:

My apologies for bumping the topic but is this a confirmed bug and do you have a look into it? I'm still not sure if it's a matter that I or the devs should look into.

Thank in advance,

Djamil

Why don't you do as I already suggested on this thread and post a link to your gallery for a start?

I'm using 1.4.24 (stable) and this worked! Thank you Thank you! I couldn't figure out how to erase some of my keywords, but the problem was the uppercase. All I had to do was rename it with a lowercase letter and then hit delete. Thanks!
