Post by: D.A on May 08, 2008, 04:34:58 AM
Sorry guys can anyone tell me how to alow users to upload images in categories/albums created by admin in coppermine gallery software, or they cant to that in any case?

I need to give them a permitions to upload files not just in their own created albums, but i need very much to allow user to upload images in categories/albums created by admins. Only admins can upload in public categories and albums?

I must set that... they need to upload files in categories created by admin. what to do can anyone explain that to me in details?

Thanks for understanding :)

Groups control panel (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#group_cp): "Public albums upload allowed" -> yes. Then "album properties (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#album_prop)" -> "Visitors can upload files" -> yes.
Has been asked and answered a thousand times and is being covered in the docs. It hurts, having to anwers this question over and over ::).

ok.. I had the same question.. and I understood.. but I still have two more questions (i'll be really thankful if you could help me)

1.- How can I make this user to be able to CREATE categories and albums?
2.- hey.. I have 377 albums in my gallery... and I don't think it' gonna be fun to go one by one allowing the user to upload to that album  :-\; is there a faster way to allow the user to upload in ANY of those albums?

I'LL REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP!  :) :-*

You can't hijack this topic with another issues. Start your own topic. But, this is already answered in the docs, and several times in this forum. Use the magic button: Search.  ;)
